Musician and environmentalist Michael Franti says we are on the edge of a "clean energy revolution" where we have the opportunity to turn each household in America into a power plant that produces its own sun and wind energy.

"We have the technology, now we need the political will and the business capital" to make it happen, Franti says.

But the clock is ticking, he warns. If we all work together to combat climate change now, "we could see a shift happen within our lifetimes — in the next 10 or 20 years," he says; "and that's all the amount of time we have left before climate changes's most dramatic effects" are felt.
