Could climate change be a tipping point issue this election? Bill Nye the Science Guy is counting on voters to make it one.
“Humans are causing climate change,” he told Fusion in a sit-down interview about science myth vs. science fact. And even though a majority of the Republican presidential field has either refused to embrace the science on the issue or declined to take measurable steps to do anything about it, the American public might be coming around.
“The most recent poll says that over 50% of the voting populous in the United States now connects climate change with human activity,” Nye said. “This is revelatory. This is a new thing, everybody. This is a turning point.”
