If the U.S. actually pulls out of the Paris Climate Agreement, as Donald Trump has promised, it’ll be the only country in the world to reject the international treaty. Trump thinks this is a good idea, claiming that Paris is a “bad deal” that will cost the U.S. billions of dollars. Christiana Figueres, the UN diplomat who spent years helping to put the Paris Agreement together, explains to Project Earth why Trump is dead wrong, and how pulling out would only hurt the U.S. economy.
