Over 40 countries have laws aimed at curbing plastic bag use. They range from taxing plastic bags, to complete bans on single-use plastic products. And at the top of that list is Kenya, where anyone found selling, manufacturing or even possessing plastic bags could face serious fines, or even jail time. By contrast, America hardly has any plastic bag laws, and many states have laws that actually ban plastic bag bans. Who’s right, and what’s the best way to solve our plastic pollution problem?
